Blackened Sockeye Salmon Tacos
By substituting the lettuce for the tortilla this is a great recipe if you are on the whole30 diet or are looking to cut sugar or carbs out of your diet. Still want plenty of flavor and an easy way to impress your friends with a different kind of taco!

  1. Heat oil over high heat
  2. Skin and cube portions of sockeye salmon. Sprinkle with blackening seasoning. The more seasoning added, the spicier it will be
  3. When skillet is very hot, add seasoned salmon. Quickly flip and cook in batches to avoid overcrowding the skillet
  4. For a medium/ medium rare finish, cook for 1-2 minutes. Remove from heat to a paper towel lined plate.
  5. Assemble by adding blackened salmon to tortilla or lettuce leaf
  6. Garnish with chopped onion, cilantro and a squeeze of lime! Enjoy with a cold beer!
