  1. Thaw and peel shrimp under cold water
  2. Toss in a bowl with blackening seasoning
  3. Heat oil and butter in a skillet over medium high heat until the oil is shimmering and the butter has slightly browned
  4. Pour shrimp in skillet and flip after 1 minute
  5. Finish for one minute on the other side and remove shrimp from heat
  6. Squeeze lemon over the shrimp and serve
  7. Serve with grits for a classic shrimp and grits dish or over pasta with cherry tomatoes
