Blackened Wild Caught Shrimp with Lemon

Ingredients
- 2 Pounds Wild Caught Shrimp, Peeled
- 2 Tbsp vegetable oil (or any high smoking point oil like sesame or avocado)
- 1 Tbsp Butter
- 2 Tbsp blackening seasoning (Ex. Old Bay, Zatarans)
- 1 Lemon, Halved
Instructions
- Thaw and peel shrimp under cold water.
- Toss shrimp in a bowl with blackening seasoning.
- Heat oil and butter in a skillet over medium-high heat until the oil is shimmering and the butter has slightly browned.
- Pour shrimp into the skillet and flip after 1 minute.
- Finish cooking for one more minute on the other side, then remove shrimp from heat.
- Squeeze lemon over the shrimp and serve.
- Serve with grits for a classic shrimp and grits dish, or over pasta with cherry tomatoes.
