Gulf of Mexico Shrimp
- t
Gulf Shrimp have been commercially caught since the 1700’s, the oldest marketed shrimp species, because of their fantastic table quality. They’re easy to peel with a sweet flavor, firm texture, and year round availability. But the best part? Their long history employing and supporting fishing families in the Gulf of Mexico.
Our fishermen use nets rigged with TEDs (Turtle Excluding Device) which eliminates large animal by-catch, and fish areas of the Gulf with sandy bottoms reducing any damage that could be caused to coral reefs or grass floor bottoms. All of our wild-caught Gulf Shrimp are flash frozen on the boat without the use of any chemicals.
Size: 16/20 count (approximately 16-20 shrimp per pound), Headless/ Shell-on

How To Cook
How To Cook
Shrimp are most tender when they have curled ¾ of the way. Any longer and they can become chewy. To stop the cooking process, you can shock in cold water, or if you’re preparing a warm dish (pasta or gumbo), put the shrimp in last and watch for the “curl”. This typically takes 2-3 minutes.
