Instructions
  1. Heat oil to 375 degrees
  2. Thaw, pat dry, and season halibut to taste with salt and pepper
  3. Combine flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt and pepper
  4. Stir egg into flour mixture
  5. Gradually stir beer into mixture until a thin batter has formed. You should be able to see the fish through the batter after it has been dipped
  6. Dip fish into batter and then place in oil. Flip once or until golden brown on both sides. Drain on wire rack or paper towel lined plate
  7. Serve warm with your favorite side of coleslaw or french fries
